I don't have this problem, but beginning-of-line goes back one
character-width too far.  The character is

U+039B GREEK CAPITAL LETTER LAMDA
plus
U+030A COMBINING RING ABOVE

I noticed some time that combining chars generally seem to be counted
as width 1 instead of width 0, but i must have forgot to report it.
