BTW, the other thing. It would seem that since my execution strings can contain any or all of quoted spaces, escape codes, globs and variables to expand, and pipes, I'm stuck with eval. Anyway it's there for a purpose and this might be one of them. The pipe is the hardest thing. And the color codes. So far eval has yet to bite me, so maybe I'm worrying to much -- tho of course getting rid of the noblob's is the real goal. Never mind.
