Problem with zsh on TTY.

I am having trouble with zsh on serial terminals. The " bad tiocgwinsz "
message happens on login and "TTY read error" message on logout. The csh and
ksh shells run ok. Any help with fixing this problem will be appreciated.
The zsh shell was installed by an application developer and works fine on
xterm. The HOST processor is a SiliconGraphics 4D320S running IRIX 5.2.
As I am fairly new to the internet and unix I would like a direct reply if
possible. I have "netscape" on a PC and have found the zsh FAQ and
software. I don't know what "tiocgwinsz" means.
