Rather intricate!  I get it tho.  But I stick to my guns that a trailing zero after a decimal point would be proper by default.  As to the  rest, there is no limitation, coded correctly one has complete control.  And I take Lawrence's point that what looks like false precision in a measured number is nothing more than the internal representation of the number -- they aren't significant figures.
